About the Club

The Tableland Bridge Club was established in 1982 and is incorporated in the State of Queensland. We are affiliated with the Australian Bridge Federation (ABF»), which operates the national Masterpointing system, and the Queensland Bridge Association (QBA»).

The Club is run wholly by volunteers. There are two bridge sessions per week with green, red and gold point events including zonal, state and national competitions. As well, members regularly visit other Northern Zone clubs» and can play at any ABF affiliated club in Australia.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided for mid-session tea-breaks. Under Queensland Government (and Shire Council) regulations, smoking is prohibited in the Clubrooms and on the adjacent verandah.

Subscriptions and fees

Annual subscriptions are paid in January, table fees are paid at each session. Associates must be financial members of another QBA-affiliated club.

Community Centre, Mabel Street, Atherton», opposite the Shire Council chambers. The Centre is operated by the Tablelands Regional Council as a contribution to local community organisations, and the Clubrooms are wheelchair accessible.

Vehicle access (heavy dashed lines) to the carpark (‘P’) is from Mabel St into a 2-way lane between the SES and Enterprise House. Once past the SES, take the 1-way loop right, to park. Pedestrian and wheelchair entry (heavy dotted line) is via the stairs or ramp beside the carpark, then south along the verandah.
